I was touring Wright Patterson Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. I saw massive equipment; I also saw a display describing the Berlin airlift during the year spanning June 1948 to May 1949. Via powerful airplanes 1.5 million tons of coal and 500,000 tons of food were dropped from the air into West Berlin, saving a whole city from a Soviet blockade.
Isaiah teaches that as nations take notice of the people of God and learn the Lord’s ways, they beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks (Isaiah 2:1-4). Let’s talk about this kind of story happening more often. Let’s think about the stunning potential of the muscle of the military being used more often to build infrastructure of all kinds and support life.
God bless you, my friend,
